This was my first full month of "serious" couponing. I have tracked the savings just to see if it is worth the effort. Take a look and see what you think:
Total Shelf Price: $1,289.15
Total Coupons: $683.54
Total Savings: $967.14
Total Spent: $322.01
Savings Rate: 75.02%
I would say that was worth the effort. It was a little more than I had planned to spend, but the stockpile is building. I have learned a lot this month and look forward to the deals ahead. Thanks to my wife for helping to go out and get some of these great deals.
Best Deal of January:
Transferred 3 prescriptions to Rite Aid. Total cost: $54.64. Received 3 $25 gift cards! The best part is that I found a discount card for Rx that is free. All you need to do is print the card and give it to your pharmacy, if they participate. It is processed just like insurance. One of my Rx was normally $25 with my insurance. They also ran the discount card and it came out to only $15.64!!! Here is a link for more info:
